Wheaten Bread Honey Granola

Granola Mix Ingredients:

  • 6 Slices Ormo Buttermilk Wheaten Bread (Crumbled)
  • 50g Flaked Almonds
  • 30g Large Rolled Oats
  • 50g Soft Brown Sugar
  • 60ml Runny Honey
  • 50g Unsalted Butter
  • Pinch of Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Nutmeg

Cranachan: (combine all ingredients together)

  • 1 Punnet Fresh Raspberries
  • 250ml Freshly Whipped Cream
  • 10ml Runny Honey
  • 1 shot Drambuie Liqueur
  • 6 Table Spoons of Ormo Buttermilk Wheaten Granola

Method:
1. Melt the butter, sugar and honey with the spices in a thick bottomed pan until it makes a creamy butterscotch syrup. Add the crumbled Ormo Buttermilk Wheaten Bread and almonds and oats and stir well into the syrup.

2. Pour out the mixture onto a baking tray, lined with parchment paper. Spread thinly and evenly on the tray and bake at 180˚C for 8-10 minutes, stir when necessary so the sides don’t burn.

3. When dark brown and toasted, remove from the oven and cool, be very careful as this is extremely sticky and hot until cooled. When completely cooled, break up and store in a jar with a tight fitting lid, until required.

4. Toast 4 slices of Ormo Buttermilk Wheaten bread and butter them, top with the Cranachan and drizzle with runny honey, garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Enjoy for Breakfast or as a Dessert for a dinner party!
